Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem monitoring suhu, pH, dan pemberian pakan ikan otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan mengimplementasikan protokol Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT). Adapun latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu permasalahan dalam pemberian pakan ikan secara manual yang sering kali tidak teratur serta kurangnya pemantauan terhadap kondisi air akuarium, yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan dan pertumbuhan ikan, khususnya ikan guppy. Sistem ini dirancang dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno R4 WiFi yang terhubung dengan sensor suhu DS18B20, sensor pH, sensor ultrasonik, serta motor servo untuk mengatur mekanisme pemberian pakan. Implementasi protokol MQTT digunakan sebagai media komunikasi antara perangkat keras dengan aplikasi monitoring berbasis mobile, yang memungkinkan proses pengiriman data suhu, pH, dan jumlah sisa pakan secara real-time. Selain itu, pengguna juga dapat menerima notifikasi ketika terjadi kondisi tidak normal seperti suhu dan pH di luar batas wajar atau pakan dalam kondisi rendah. Aplikasi juga menyediakan fitur pengaturan jadwal pemberian pakan dan kontrol manual melalui tombol aktivasi servo.
This research aims to design and develop a system for monitoring temperature, pH, and automated fish feeding based on the Internet of Things (IoT) by implementing the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. The background of this study lies in the common issues found in manual fish feeding, which often lacks consistency and timely management, as well as limited monitoring of aquarium water conditions— factors that can negatively affect the health and growth of guppy fish. The system is built using an Arduino Uno R4 WiFi microcontroller connected to a DS18B20 temperature sensor, a pH sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, and a servo motor to control the
feed dispensing mechanism. The MQTT protocol is implemented as a communication bridge between hardware components and a mobile-based monitoring application, enabling real-time data transmission of temperature, pH, and remaining feed levels. In addition, users receive
notifications when abnormal conditions occur, such as temperature or pH levels falling outside the normal range or low feed availability. The application also features feed scheduling and manual control options via a servo activation button.
