Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengucapan siswa melalui media lirik lagu bahasa Inggris di TikTok. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi experiment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri Limboro. Dalam penelitian ini, populasinya adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Limboro Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa yang terdiri atas 19 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan 19 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan instrumen tes yang terdiri dari pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan analisis, peneliti menemukan bahwa dengan menerapkan lirik lagu bahasa Inggris di TikTok sebagai media dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris mampu meningkatkan pengucapan siswa. Pengucapan siswa meningkat secara signifikan dengan melihat nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 45.57. Pada akhir pembelajaran dengan menggunakan lirik lagu bahasa Inggris di TikTok untuk meningkatkan pengucapan siswa terlihat peningkatan setelah diberikann perlakuan. Nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 77.48. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai setelah pemberian perlakuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum perlakuan. Nilai rata-rata skor N-Gain dari hasil belajar siswa 58.4%. Uji independent sample T-test menunjukkan bahwa sig 2 tailed 0.000 < 0.05, sehingga nilai T-test lebih kecil dari sig. Nilai 0.05 maka dapat dikatakan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima sedangkan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Pembelajaranmenggunakan lirik lagu bahasa Inggris di TikTok cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan pengucapan siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, terlihat bahwa hasil dari kuesioner, siswa menunjukkan respon positif terhadap penggunaan media lagu bahasa Inggris di TikTok.
This study aims to determine the improvement of students' pronunciation through the media of English song lyrics on TikTok. In this study, researcher used quantitative research methods with quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri Limboro. In this study, the population was class VIII students of SMP Negeri Limboro in the academic year 2024/2025. The number of samples in this study were 38 students consisting of 19 students for the experimental class and 19 students for the control class. The sample selection in this study used purposive sampling technique. To collect the data, researcher used test instruments consisting of pre-test, post-test, and questionnaires. Based on the analysis, the researcher found that by applying English song lyrics on TikTok as a media in learning English can improve students' pronunciation. The students' pronunciation improved significantly by looking at the average value of the pre-test is 45.57. At the end of learning by using English song lyrics on TikTok to improve students' pronunciation, there was an improvement after the treatment. The average score of the post-test was 77.48, the results showed that the score after the treatment was higher than before the treatment. The mean value of the N-Gain score of student learning outcomes was 58.4%. The independent sample T-test test shows that the 2 tailed sig 0.000 < 0.05, so the T-test value is smaller than sig. value of 0.05, it can be said that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Learning using English song lyrics on TikTok is effective enough in improving students' pronunciation. In this study, it was seen that the results of the questionnaire, students showed a positive response to the use of English song media on TikTok.
