Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring dan notifikasi untuk pengendalian smart greenhouse pada tanaman melon. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor DHT22 untuk suhu dan kelembaban udara, sensor kelembaban tanah, dan sensor pH tanah. Pengiriman data dilakukan melalui protokol MQTT, sehingga petani dapat memperoleh informasi secara real-time guna mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D), meliputi perumusan masalah, studi
literatur, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, serta pengujian hingga diperoleh hasil yang sesuai. Pengujian kinerja mengevaluasi efektivitas MQTT dalam mengirim data sensor ke sistem web monitoring. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa semuadata berhasil dikirim tanpa kendala, dengan sebagian besar latency 00.00.00 detik. Beberapa kasus mencatat keterlambatan 00.00.01-00.00.02 detik akibat ketidakstabilan jaringan. Selain itu, pengujian bandwidth menunjukkan bahwa sistem tetap berjalan pada jaringan rendah 64 kbps dan lebih stabil pada 1 Mbps ke atas. Kesimpulannya, sistem monitoring dan notifikasi berbasis IoT dan MQTT berhasil diimplementasikan.Sistem ini memberikan notifikasi akurat saat parameter lingkungan melebihi batas yang ditentukan. Pengujian black box memastikan sistem berfungsi sesuai harapan, membantu petani memantau kondisi lingkungan secara efisien dan responsif.
This study aims to design and implement a monitoring and notification system for smart greenhouse control in melon plants. This system uses a DHT22 sensor for air temperature and humidity, a soil moisture sensor, and a soil pH sensor. Data transmission is carried out via the MQTT protocol, so that farmers can obtain information in real time to optimize plant growth. The research method used is
Research and Development (R&D), including problem formulation, literature study, needs analysis, system design, and testing until appropriate results are obtained. Performance testing evaluates the effectiveness of MQTT in sending sensor data to the web monitoring system. The results show that all data was successfully sent without any problems, with most of the latency being 00.00.00 seconds. Several cases recorded a delay of 00.00.01-00.00.02 seconds due to network instability. In addition, bandwidth testing showed that the system continued to run on a low network of 64 kbps and was more stable at 1 Mbps and above. In conclusion, the IoT and MQTT-based monitoring and notification system was successfully implemented. This system provides accurate notifications when environmental parameters exceed the specified limits. Black-box testing ensures the system functions as expected, helping farmers monitor environmental conditions efficiently and responsively
