Abstract
Jalan merupakan infrastruktur penting dalam transportasi darat, dan kinerjanya sangat diperngaruhi oleh hambatan samping, yaitu aktivitas di tepi jalan seperti pejalan kaki, kendaraan lambat, kendaraan keluar/masuk, kendaraan berhenti sembarangan, serta parkir di badan jalan. Hambatan samping ini menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kemacetan, khususnya di ruas Jalan Jendral Sudirman Kabupaten Majene. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik arus lalu lintas di kawasan perdagangan pada ruas jalan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI 2023) dengan survei geometrik jalan, volume lalu lintas (LHR), hambatan samping, dan kecepatan tempuh. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai derajat kejenuhan tertinggi sebesar 0,43 dengan volume kendaraan 1.111 smp/jam dan kapasitas jalan sebesar 2.580 smp/jam. Berdasarkan perhitungan PKJI 2023, tingkat pelayanan berada pada level B, yang menunjukkan arus lalu lintas masih stabil namun kecepatan mulai terbatas. Hambatan samping terbuki sangat mempengaruhi penurunan kinerja
jalan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penanganan seperti penyediaan pengguna jalan agar lebih tertib dalam berlalu lintas.
Roads are important infrastructure in land transportation, and their performance is greatly influenced by side obstacles, namely roadside activities such as pedestrians, slow vehicles, vehicles entering/exiting, vehicles stopping carelessly, and parking on the roadside. These side obstacles are one of the main causes of congestion, especially on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Majene Regency. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of traffic flow in the trading area on this road section. The method used refers to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023) with a geometric survey of roads, traffic volume (LHR), side obstacles, and travel speed. The results of the analysis show the highest degree of saturation value of 0.43 with a vehicle volume of 1,111 smp/hour and a road capacity of 2,580 smp/hour. Based on the PKJI 2023 calculation, the level of service is at level B, which indicates that traffic flow is still stable but speed is starting to be limited. Side obstacles have been shown to greatly affect the decline in road performance. Therefore, handling is needed such as providing road users to be more orderly in traffic.
