Abstract
Early marriage remains a serious problem facing adolescents in Indonesia, including in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province. To address this issue, the government, through the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), launched the Generation Planning Program (GenRe), which aims to delay marriage, improve the quality of life for adolescents, and develop a generation with character and planning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the GenRe Program in preventing early marriage among adolescents at SMAN 1 Sendana. The study used a qualitative approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observation, and
documentation. The informants included students, guidance and counseling teachers, and administrators of the Lawuaya Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIKR). Data analysis was conducted based on five indicators of program effectiveness according to Edy Sutrisno: program understanding, targeting accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and tangible change. The results indicate that the implementation of the GenRe Program at SMAN 1 Sendana is quite effective. The program successfully increased adolescents' knowledge
about reproductive health, the dangers of early marriage, and the importance of future planning. The indicators of targeting accuracy and goal achievement performed well, as it reached the primary target group of high school adolescents. However, there are still challenges with the punctuality indicator due to conflicts with school activities. Overall, the GenRe Program has had a positive impact, reducing the rate of early marriage, increasing educational awareness, and developing more responsible and planned youth character.
