Abstract
Masalah gizi masih menjadi tantangan dalam kesehatan masyarakat, terutama pada balita sebagai kelompok rentan. Kekurangan gizi kronis dapat menyebabkan gangguan pertumbuhan, salah satunya stunting. Stunting dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk ketersediaan dan pemanfaatan pangan di tingkat rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ketersediaan dan pemanfaatan pangan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24–59 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Lembang. Penelitian menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dan teknik Stratified Random Sampling, melibatkan 92 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan pengukuran tinggi badan balita. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara ketersediaan pangan (p = 0,002) dan pemanfaatan pangan (p = 0,002) dengan kejadian stunting (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara ketersediaan dan pemanfaatan pangan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24–59 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Lembang.
Nutritional problems remain a major challenge in public health, especially among children under five as a vulnerable group. Chronic malnutrition can lead to growth disorders, one of which is stunting. Stunting is influenced by various factors, including food availability and utilization at the household level. This study aimed to determine the relationship between food availability and food utilization with the incidence of stunting among children aged 24–59 months in the working area of the Lembang Health Center. The research used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach and stratified random sampling technique, involving 92 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and measurements of children’s height. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between food availability (p = 0.002) and food utilization (p = 0.002) with stunting incidence (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between food availability and food utilization with the incidence of stunting among children aged 24–59 months in the working area of the Lembang Health Center
