Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Wonomulyo yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media ular tangga lebih tinggi di bandingkan dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Wonomulyo yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain nonequvalent control group design. Penentuan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh dimana seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Wonomulyo dijadikan sampel. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis deskriptif untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 74,21tergolong kategori sedang, pada kelas kontrol sebesar 60,96 tergolong kategori sedang. Hasil analisis uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t (Independent sample t-test) dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,0045 < 0,05 yang berarti �0 ditolak dan �1 diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media ular tangga lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung berbantuan media buku paket.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Wonomulyo taught using the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by a snakes and ladders media are higher than those taught using the direct instruction model. This study is a quantitative research with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample was determined using saturated sampling, in which all eighthgrade students at SMP Negeri 7 Wonomulyo were included as the sample. The data were collected using research instruments in the form of teacher lesson implementation observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and mathematics learning outcome tests. The descriptive analysis results show that the average score in the experimental class was 74.21, which falls into the moderate category, while the control class scored 60.96, also in the moderate category. The hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.0045 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using the cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament assisted by the snakes and ladders media are higher than those of students taught using the direct instruction model assisted by textbook media.
