Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajarang Creative Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah
matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Tutallu. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental tipe nonequivalent control grup design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple sampling purposive dimana kelas IX B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX A sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif an analisis inferensial dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows. Hasil analisis deskriptif menujukkan bahwa kemampuan
pemecahan masalah matematika pada kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Berada pada kategori sangat tinggi sedangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung berada pada kategori sedang. Kemudian hasil analisis inferensial (Indipendent Sampel Test) menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung.
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Tutallu . thid type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental noneqivalent control group design. The sampling purposive sampling where with class IX B as the experimental class and class IX A as the control class. The instruments used were tests and observation sheets. Data analysis uses descritive analysis and inferential analysis with the help of the SPSS for windows program. The results of the descritive analysis show that the mathematical problem solving ability in the class taught using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model is in the very high category, while the direct learning model is in the medium category. Then the results of the inferential analysis (Indipendent Sampel Test) show that the matematical problem solving (CPS) learning model are higher than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught using the direct learning model.
