Abstract

Makanan merupakan kebutuhan primer jasmani untuk makhluk hidup yang dikonsumsi untuk menghasilkan tenaga dan energi, sehingga komponen makanan harus sehat dan terbebas dari kontaminasi bahan berbahaya. Makanan berformalin baru bisa diketahui jika di uji di laboratorium yang membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga para pedagang tidak bisa langsung mengetahui apakah makanan yang dijual layak beredar atau tidak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hasil tahapan merancang alat pendeteksi formalin pada makanan serta menggunakan
hasil alat yang telah dirancang untuk mendeteksi formalin pada makanan berbasis Internet Of Things. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen yang dimana termasuk dalam metode penelitian kuantitatif. Adapun hasil pengujian pada bakso sebagai sampel adalah, tanpa formalin nilai yang ditunjukkan pada LCD dan dan Aplikasi adalah 247 ppm, buzzer tidak berbunyi, 1 ml Formalin dengan nilai 304 ppm, 3 ml Formalin dengan nilai 492 ppm, 5 ml Formalin dengan nilai 548 ppm, 10 ml Formalin dengan nilai 555 ppm, dan 15 ml Formalin dengan nilai 567 ppm, dan buzzer berbunyi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian keseluruhan maka alat dapat bekerja dengan baik dan buzzer akan berbunyi jika nilai kadar formalin ≥300 ppm (part per million).
Food is a primary physical need for living creatures whic is consumed to produce strenght and energy, so that food components must be health and uncontamination by hazardous materials. Formalin food can be detected if tested in the laboratory that takes quite a long time so that traders cannot immediately know wheter the food being sold is fit for sell or not. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of the stages of designing a formalin detector in food, as well as using the results of the tool that has been designed to detect formalin food based on the Internet of Things. This study uses an experimental research methode which is included in the quantitative
research method. The test results on meatballs as a sample are, without formalin the value shown on the LCD and Application is 247 ppm, the buzzer does not sound, 1 ml of Formalin with a value of 304 ppm, 3 ml of Formalin with a value of 492 ppm, 5 ml of Formalin with a value of 548 ppm, 10 ml of Formalin with a value of 555 ppm, and 15 ml of Formalin with a value of 567 ppm, and the buzzer sounds. Based on the overall test results, the tool can work well and the buzzer will sound if the formalin content value is ≥300 ppm (part per million).
