Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kefir air kelapa terhadap komposisi karkas ayam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan hewan coba ayam broiler umur satu hari atau Day Old Chick (DOC) dengan strain CP 707 sebanyak 20 ekor dengan jenis kelamin campuran (unsexed).Broiler dipelihara dari DOC sampai umur 35 hari dengan kandang menggunakan alas sekam. Perlakuan diberikan pada ayam sejak umur 8, hari sampai 35 hari Hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan antara perlakuan yang diberikan. Pemberian kefir air kelapa sebanyak 10-15% dari kebutuhan air minum harian meningkatkan persentase dada, persentase paha atas, serta menurunkan persentase lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P2 (10% kefir air kelapa) menghasilkan persentase dada tertinggi, sedangkan perlakuan P3 (15% kefir air kelapa) menghasilkan persentase paha atas tertinggi dan persentase lemak abdominal terendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat di simpulkan bahwa pemberian kefir air kelapa memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan
terhadap kualitas karkas ayam broiler.
This study aimed to determine the effect of coconut water kefir administration on the carcass composition of broiler chickens. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The subjects were 20 unsexed day-old chicks (DOC) of the CP 707 strain. The broilers were raised from day-old until 35 days of age in cages with rice husk litter. The treatment was
given from day 8 to day 35. Data were analyzed using SPSS software to determine the significant differences among treatments.The administration of coconut water kefir at 10–15% of the chickens' daily drinking water requirement increased breast percentage and upper thigh percentage, while decreasing the percentage of abdominal fat. The analysis showed that Treatment P2 (10% coconut water kefir)
resulted in the highest breast percentage, while Treatment P3 (15% coconut water kefir) resulted in the highest upper thigh percentage and the lowest abdominal fat percentage.Based on the results, it can be concluded that the administration of coconut water kefir has a significant effect on the carcass quality of broiler chickens.
