Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran SQ3R (Survei, Question, Read, Recite, And Review) terhadap
pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Tinambung dengan teknik pengambilan sampel mengunakan cluster random sampling. Pada penelitian ini kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil instrument lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan instrument tes berupa pre-test dan post-test. Selanjutnya, data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil dari uji
hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa P-value yang diperoleh 0,027 adalah 0,027 lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05 (0,027 < 0,05) sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti bahwa efektifnya penerapan model pembelajaran SQ3R (Survei, Question, Read, Recite, And Review ) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of SQ3R (Survei, Question, Read, Recite, And Review) learning model on the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Tinambung with a sampling technique using cluster random sampling. In this study, class VIII A was the experimental class and class VIII E was the control class. The research data were obtained from the results of the learning implementation observation sheet instrument and the test instrument in the form of pre-test and post-test. Then, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and inferential statistical using a significance level of 0,05. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the P-value obtained is 0,027, which is 0,027 smaller than the significance level of 0,05 (0,027 < 0,05), so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of SQ3R (Survei, Question, Read, Recite, And Review) learning models is effective on the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung.
