Lansia merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap penyakit degeneratif seperti rheumatoid arthritis. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai
penyakit dapat berdampak pada keterlambatan penanganan dan penurunan kualitas hidup. Pendampingan keluarga serta pemanfaatan aplikasi edukasi seperti sahabat sehat menjadi pendekatan yang potensial dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendampingan keluarga dengan menggunakan aplikasi sahabat sehat terhadap tingkat pengetahuan lansia tentang rheumatoid arthritis. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pre-test and post-test. Dengan sampel berjumlah sebanyak 30 lansia yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data dikumplkan melalui kuesioner dan di uji menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil: Ada peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan lansia dengan hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p=0,000 (p< 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah intervensi menggunakan aplikasi sahabat sehat. Kesimpulan: dari penggunaan aplikasi sahabat sehat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan lansia mengenai rheumatoid arthritis edukasi kesehatan berbasis android ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia.
Elderly individuals are a vulnarable age group prone to degenarative diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Alack of knowledge about this
deases can lead to delayed treatment and reduced quality of life. Family involvement and the use of education applications such as health friend application are promising approaches to improving elderly knowledge. Objective: the study aims to determine the effect of family assistance using the health friend application on the level of knowledge among the elderly regarding rheumatoid arthritis in Betteng Village, Pamboang District. Methodes: thisstudy used a-preexperimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The sample consisted of 30 elderly individuals selected based on inclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires administered before and after the intervention using the health companion application. Data were analyzed using the wilcoxon test to determine changes in knowledge levels. Results: There was an increase in the knowledge level of the elderly after using the Sahabat Sehat application. The wilcoxon test showed a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in knowledge before and after the intervention. Conclusion: The use of the health companio application had a significant effect on increasing the knowledge of the elderly about rheumatoid arthritis. This Android-based health education application has been proven effective in improving elderly knowledge.
