Abstract

Emo-Demo merupakan metode edukasi yang menggabungkan rangsangan emosional dan demonstrasi visual, yang berfungsi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran individu terhadap suatu topik. Pelaksanaan edukasi emo-demo tentang pencegahan komplikasi hipertensi pada lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lembang Majene masuk dalam kategori baik. Dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh edukasi emo-demo (emotional demonstration) tentang pencegahan komplikasi hipertensi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lembang Majene. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain pre-eksperimen dengan one-group pretest and posttest desiign. Sampel sebanyak 16 orang bersadarkan hasil rumus Federer, menggunakan non probability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Instrumen Penelitian yang digunakan untuk variabel pengetahuan dan sikap adalah kuesioner. Data yang didapatkan diolah kemudian di analisis secara univariat frekuensi dan bivariat uji Wilcoxon. Didapatkan nilai p=0,001 hasil p<0.05 yang artinya signifikan, sehingga ada pengaruh edukasi emo-demo (emotional demonstration) tentang pencegahan komplikasi hipertensi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lembang Majene.
Emo-Demo is an educational method that combines emotional stimulation and visual demonstrations, which functions to increase individual understanding and awareness of a topic. The implementation of emo-demo education on prevention of hypertension complications in the elderly in the Lembang Majene Health Center Work Area is in the good category. This study was conducted to determine whether there was an effect of emo-demo education (emotional demonstration) on prevention of hypertension complications on the knowledge and attitudes of the elderly in the Lembang Majene Health Center Work Area. The type of quantitative research used a pre-experimental design with one-group pretest and posttest design. A sample of 16 people was based on the results of the Federer formula, using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. The research instrument used for the knowledge and attitude variables was a questionnaire. The data obtained were processed and then analyzed using univariate frequency and bivariate Wilcoxon test. The value of p = 0.001 was obtained, the result of p <0.05, which means significant, so there is an influence of emo-demo education (emotional demonstration) on the prevention of hypertension complications on the knowledge and attitudes of the elderly in the Lembang Majene Health Center Work Area.
