Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan Aplikasi master vocabulary untuk memperkaya kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa. Peneliti menerapkan metode Quasi eksperimental Design dengan desain kelas kontrol dan kelas ekperimen pre-test dan post-test, dan mengumpulkan data berdasarkan tes. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II Smp Negeri 1 Tinambung yang berjumlah 20 siswa dalam satu kelas dan julah keseluruhan siswa 40 siswa kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pre-test nilai siswa kelas dua meningkat secara signifikan setelah diajar dengan menggunakan Aplikasi Master vocabulary. Nilai mean yang diperoleh siswa melalui pre-test adalah 45,80 dan post-test adalah 80,40 dengan hasil bahwa nilai signifikansi paired sample test lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi yaitu 0.000. Dari hasil kalkulasi tes N-Gain score nilai rata-rata untuk kelas ekperimental adalah 64,16 yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup efektif. Dari hasil angket didapatkan informasi bahwa sebagian besar siswa cenderung memiliki persepsi positif (setuju ) terhadap penggunaan aplikasi master vocabulary dalam memperkaya kosakata siswa dengan nilai rata-rata 83,4. Oleh karna itu dapat disimpulkan dari teori (ministry of education and culture in Wafaa,2017) score classification criteria (76-85) Good. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi master vocabulary efektif dalam memperkaya kosakata siswa smp negeri 1 tinambung.
This research aims to determine the use of the master vocabulary application to enrich students' English vocabulary. The researcher applied a quasi-experimental design method with a control group and experiment group pre-test and post-test design, and collected data based on tests. The sample for this research was class II students at SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung, totaling 40 students 2 class. Samples were taken using cluster random sampling technique.The research results showed that the pre-test scores of second grade students increased significantly after being taught using the Master Vocabulary Application. The mean value obtained by students through the pre-test was 45.80 and the post-test was 80.40 with the result that the significance value of the paired sample test was smaller than the significance level, namely 0.000. Based on the results of the N-gain Score test calculation, the average N-gain score for the experimental class is 64,16 which is included in the Quite Effective category. From the results of the questionnaire, information was obtained that the majority of students tended to have a positive perception (agree) towards the use of the Master Vocabulary application in enriching students' vocabulary with an average score of 83.4. Therefore, it can be concluded from theory (ministry of education and culture in Wafaa, 2017) that the score classification criteria (76-85) is Good. So it can be concluded that the use of the master vocabulary application is effective in enriching the vocabulary of students at SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung.
