Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) berbasis kemampuan literasi matematis untuk
siswa kelas VIII SMP yang layak dengan tingkat validitas, reliabilitas, kesukaran, dan daya pembeda yang baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model formative research tessmer (preliminary, self evaluation, prototyping, dan field test). Instrumen tes yang dikembangkan terdiri dari kisi-kisi, lembar tes sebanyak 12 butir soal uraian, kunci jawaban, dan
pedoman penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes memiliki kualitas layak berdasarkan hasil uji ahli dan uji empiris. Hasil uji oleh ahli menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes layak baik dari aspek konten, konstruk, maupun bahasa. Sedangkan hasil uji empiris oleh siswa menunjukkan bahwa semua butir soal valid dengan tingkat reliabilitas yang diperoleh sebesar 0.950 dengan interpretasi sangat tinggi, tingkat kesukaran sebagian sukar dan sedang, serta daya pembeda yang memenuhi kriteria baik dan sangat baik.
This study aims to develop a HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) test instrument based on mathematical literacy skills for VIII grade junior high school students that is suitable with good levels of validity, reliability, difficulty, and distinguishing power. This type of research is development research (R&D), referring to the Tessmer formative research model (preliminary, self evaluation, prototyping, and field test). The developed instrument consists of a blueprint, a test sheet containing 12 essay questions, an answer key, and assessment guidelines. The research results indicate that the test instrument has acceptable quality based on expert testing and empirical testing results. The expert evaluation shows that the test instrument is suitable in terms of content, construct, and
language aspects. While the results of empirical testing by students indicates that all items are valid with a reliability level obtained of 0.950 with a very high interpretation, the level of difficulty is partly difficult and moderate, and a discrimination power that meets good and very good criteria.
