Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode SQ3R terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Campalagian. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian
kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi eksperimental dengan desain penelitian yaitu pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan kelas XI MIPA 5 sebanyak 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 4 sebanyak 31 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa secara kognitif. Setelah diterapkan metode SQ3R nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,10 yang mengindikasikan bahwa telah memenuhi nilai KKM. Hasil perhitungan uji t test yaitu independent sample t test diperoleh nilai t hitung= 4, 290> t tabel=2,042 dengan taraf signifikansi < 0,05,maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan metode SQ3R terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the SQ3R method on the biology learning outcomes of class XI students at SMAN 1 Campalagian. The research approach used in this research is a quantitative research approach. The type of research used is Quasi experimental with a research design namely pretestposttest control group design. The sampling technique in this research used a simple random sampling technique with class XI MIPA 5 as many as 31 students as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 4 as many as 31 students as the control class. The instrument used in this research is a learning outcomes test in the form of a pretest and posttest to measure student learning outcomes cognitively. After applying the SQ3R method, the average posttest score for the experimental class was 80. .10 which indicates that it has met the KKM score. The results of the t test calculation, namely the independent sample t test, obtained a calculated t value = 4, 290> t table = 2.042 with a significance level of <0.05, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence of the use of the SQ3R method on students' biology learning outcomes.
