Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh perawat untuk memberikan pelayanan kesehatan yang optimal. Tingkat pengetahuan dan self efficacy dianggap sebagai faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan komunikasi terapeutik secara efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan self efficacy terhadap keterampilan komunikasi terapeutik pada mahasiswa profesi Ners Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa profesi Ners Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Sulawesi Barat dengan jumlah sampel 37 orang. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Total Sampling. pengumpulan data ini melalui data demografi dan kuesioner. Analasis yang digunakan menggunakan uji statistic dan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan self efficacy dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik mahasiswa Profesi Ners Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Sulawesi Barat dengan diperoleh hasil P-valuee 0,001 atau ˂ α
0,05.Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pentingnya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan self efficacy mahasisswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi terapeutik yang efektif.

Therapeutic communication is one of the competencies that must be possessed by
nurses to provide optimal health services. The level of knowledge and self-efficacy are considered
factors that can affect students' ability to conduct therapeutic communication effectively. The
purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and self�efficacy on therapeutic communication skills in Nurse professional students, Faculty of Health
Sciences, University of West Sulawesi. Methods: The type of research is to use a cross sectional
design with a quantitative approach. The population in the study was a student of the Nurse
profession of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of West Sulawesi with a sample of 37
people. The sampling used in this study was Total Sampling. This data is collected through
demographic data and questionnaires. The analysis used used was a statistical test and a Chi�Square test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between the
level of knowledge and self-efficacy on the therapeutic communication skills of Nurse Profession
students, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of West Sulawesi with a P-value of 0.000 or ˂ α
0.05.Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that it is important to
increase the knowledge and self-efficacy of students in developing effective therapeutic
communication skills.
