The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region is one of the most prolonged and complex territorial disputes in the South Caucasus region. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Nagorno-Karabakh proclaimed de facto independence as the Republic of Artsakh, though it has not been recognized by the United Nations (UN) or even Armenia. This conflict has persisted and involves various resolution efforts from the international community, including the roles of Russia and Turkey as regional actors that influence the dynamics of the conflict. This research aims to analyze the conflict resolution efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding Nagorno-Karabakh and the role of external actors in this process. The research methodology used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through literature study. This study employs a conflict resolution approach to understand the dynamics of the resolution process. The results of the research indicate that this conflict still faces significant challenges, despite various mediation efforts by Russia, the United States, and France. Ceasefires that have been agreed upon are often fragile and easily violated, especially due to Russia's geopolitical interests and Turkey's active support for Azerbaijan. Although some progress has been made in negotiations, the prospect of achieving long-term peace remains elusive.
